PRS - a name long synonymous with electric instruments - has applied their impeccable craftsmanship to an affordable acoustic guitar. Lively, crisp and responsive, the SE Angelus can compete with guitars from companies that have been in the acoustic market for hundreds of years. The tone is snappy and bright with a nice low end and articulate highs. The body projects well enough to fill a room up with sound, but the on-board pickup system will let you amplify this guitar without sacrificing tone. The neck is fast but substantial and will easily accommodate flatpickers, strummers, and fingerstyle players. You'll have a tough time hunting down a nicer acoustic at a lower price. Item Details This PRS SE Angelus Standard features a solid Sitka spruce top with solid mahogany back and sides, which provides great projection. The mahogany provides warmth and sustain that gets balanced out by the lively, crisp tone of the spruce. The mahogany neck has PRS's wide profile, which is substantial without being so big it slows you down. The rosewood fingerboard has bird inlays. PRS's on-board electronic system is intuitive and remains faithful to the sound of the guitar, and the built-in tuner simplifies things immensely. Other great features include a bone nut and saddle (extra saddle provided) and PRS SE tuners. These appointments create an acoustic guitar with PRS's unmistakable quality, but at a more than reasonable price. Music Store Live is proud to be an authorized PRS dealer.
