This is a stunning PRS Artist V finished in Amber Black, only a few of these limited edition models made it into the UK. This particular Artist V #179920 has a brilliant tight flame maple top and beautifully ribboned Mahogany Back. We hand picked this Artist V, all of them are stunning but this one stood out for us.
The Artist V is the first Artist guitar produced in over 15 years, the Artist series are some of the most collectable PRS's ever made and highly sought after. We were fortunate to play some of the original Artist Models and sell them when they were first introduced in 1991, we can honestly say the Artist V is our favourite and a true testament to the advances Paul Reed Smith has made over the past 20 years.
The Artist series guitars have always featured special upgrades and enhancements that separate them from the rest of the PRS Line. The Artist V uses high-grade rare woods such as a Peruvian Mahogany neck, ribboned mahogany body, Artist grade flame maple top and Ebony fretboard.
The ebony fretboard is beautifully by Mother of Pearl purfling and features Pua Birds with Mother of Pearl outlines.

PRS believe a finish should enhance the look, sound, and feel of a guitar by accentuating the woods inherent beauty and feel without hindering its natural resonance. The New V12 finish from PRS is a very thin, hard, durable and clear finish that will not crack or react with thinners. The V12 finish makes new PRS Models feel like vintage instruments and they all have tremendous resonance. It isn't until you try a PRS with a V12 finish that you realise how much the finish may be smothering your other guitars.
