The action is low, the neck is straight, the intonation is right on the money and this guitar plays like butter on hot toast in every position. The neck is as fast as they come and the laser beam accurate fretwork makes any style of playing a joy to play. This axe can cut any gig in the world. Period. The tremolo system is to die for and you can get some of the most desirable sounds you can think of with the different pickup configurations. This Custom 24 is for the player who wants to be inspired every time they pick up their instrument.

This LEFT HANDED PRS Custom 24 has a born on date of 10/23/2012, is finished in the outrageous looking CUSTOM COLOR : SOLANA SMOKE BURST and offers some wonderful features. First, you'll notice that when it comes to looks this FLAME MAPLE TOP is off the charts. The depth of character and color on this guitar is outstanding. Next, the mahogany PATTERN REGULAR neck features a ROSEWOOD FRETBOARD and BIRD INLAYS. Other killer features include upgraded gold hardware, individual volume and tone controls, a PRS Tremolo bridge and Phase III Locking Tuners.
A set of PRS 59/09 Treble and Bass humbuckers are wired to a 5 way blade switch and yield tons of blissful tonal combinations. This beauty weighs in at 7.5 pounds and the serial number is # 12 194426 10.

For 2012, its revered uncovered 59/09 pickups are being updated with new, contoured bobbins that arc with the strings for a more spread out, open tone. First seen on PRS Collection instruments, these bobbins are a continuation of Paul Reed Smith’s quest to continually tweak and refine the company’s instruments in subtle ways with the goal of culminating in a more musical instrument always in mind.
“Originally, humbucking pickups were covered to combat electrostatic and electromagnetic hum. As the years passed and the covers came off, there was a gap between the pickup and the pickup ring. These new bobbins not only provide extended low and high end, they look like they were meant to be uncovered and in a ring.” - Paul Reed Smith.
