The set up is, well, perfect. The action is low, the neck is straight, the intonation is right on the money and this guitar plays like butter on hot toast in every position. The neck is as fast as they come and the laser beam accurate fretwork makes any style of playing a joy to play. This axe can cut any gig in the world. Period. The tremolo system is to die for and you can get some of the most desirable sounds you can think of with the different pickup configurations. This Custom 24 is for the player who wants to be inspired every time they pick up their instrument. Item Details This left handed PRS Custom 24 10 Top has a truly stunning quilted maple top. The Black Gold Wrap finish, a custom color, pulls the definition out of the grain and really highlights the unique contours of the wood. The depth of the finish and the quality of the quilted maple gives the top an almost 3-dimensional character. The Pattern Regular neck provides that unmistakable PRS playing experience - it's super comfortable everywhere, bends are effortless, and fast runs are easy. With the PRS tremolo and PRS Phase III Locking Tuners, you can expect tuning stability and precision no matter what. The pickups are both 59/09's, and they sound articulate, clear and incredibly responsive. Here's a note from Paul about the pickups: “Originally, humbucking pickups were covered to combat electrostatic and electromagnetic hum. As the years passed and the covers came off, there was a gap between the pickup and the pickup ring. These new bobbins not only provide extended low and high end, they look like they were meant to be uncovered and in a ring.” - Paul Reed Smith This guitar offers everything PRS is known for and a bit more.
