Player's Perspective Music Store Live is proud to present this 2001 PRS McCarty! This McCarty is a bad ass axe that doesn't back down from any playing situation. Ever. When playability and tone like this combine in the same guitar you have to thank the great gods of guitar for what they have given. This is an exceptionally comfortable and fast Paul Reed Smith neck that has a special surprise for you! The tone is superb and the push / pull coil tap option lets you dial in all of your single coil and humbuckers sounds without having to change guitars. This is a killer PRS and is totally unique. Item Details This Paul Reed Smith McCarty was manufactured in 2001, finished in McCarty Sunburst and features a killer wide flame carved maple top. The mahogany neck, however, is where this guitar's magic really happens! This axe sports the Wide Fat neck that is known the world over for its warm tone and unparalleled sustain. The heel on this neck has been professionally reshaped to make for totally luxurious accommodations while shredding the highest frets on this guitar. You'll see in the pictures that this heel shape is asymmetrical, something you usually do not see on a PRS. The benefit of this is that the neck fits in your hand like a tailor made glove when you reach to the top of the fretboard. The accompanying finish work that was done to provide this modification has given the neck a slightly more vintage and worn finish feel. On top of that, the McCarty humbuckers, wired to a push / pull tone pot, put out screaming PRS tone by the bucket. The only other replacement parts on this guitar are Sperzel locking tuners.
