We love it when one comes in and just blows your doors back. This is one of them. This Modern Eagle has to be played and heard to be believed (we're sure our Skype demos will go through the roof on this one). The feel of this neck is incendiary - smooth, inviting, full, warm, deadly fast and laser beam exact. The fretwork is impeccable - notes and harmonics leap effortlessly. It plays perfectly in tune everywhere on the neck. The pickups have the vocal-like quality of a vintage single coil but they are humbuckers. This guitar sounds fat, full and ripe with a huge tone of its own. The lows are smooth, the mids are juicy and the highs cut through with a sweetness that, again, has the be heard to be believed. This is a no-brainer, barn burning blue ribbon Modern Eagle. See for yourself. ( THE CLIP BELOW IS OF A DIFFERENT MODERN EAGLE ) Item Details The Modern Eagle has much to offer so let's dive right in. This New Old Stock Modern Eagle was original manufactured in 2007 and is finished in Charcoal Burst. The flame maple top has an ultra thin satin-feel nitrocellulose finish on it which makes it feel like the most smoothed out vintage guitar ever. This finish absolutely lets this guitar breathe easy so it can do its thing. The neck and fretboard is made from select BRAZILIAN ROSEWOOD and features BIRD inlays. This is one of the nicest pieces of wood you are likely to see crafted into a guitar neck. On the back of the neck, you will see that hand written in gold are the instructions that this guitar is MADE FOR SALE IN THE U.S. ONLY. This is of course due to different laws governing the import and export of this precious tonewood. Paul Reed Smith has included a very nice laminated letter detailing this inside the guitar case. The PRS WIDE FAT neck profile and Modern Eagle Humbuckers, combined with a push / pull COIL TAP, give you just enough options to do as you please in any playing situation without giving you option anxiety. A truly superb combination. This PRS Modern Eagle also features HYBRID HARDWARE, a PRS tremolo bridge, Phase III locking tuners, Mother of Pearl Modern Eagle headstock inlay as well as a Modern Eagle deluxe hard shell case. Overall Condition This 2012 PRS Modern Eagle is in pristine mint condition with absolutely no nicks, scratches, or blemishes of any kind.
