With outstanding playability, tone and versatility, this P22 delivers an all in one playing experience that is hard to believe. The neck is perfectly contoured, very comfortable and extremely fast. The variety of pickups deliver the best magnetic and piezo tones available. The fret work is laser beam accurate and notes practically play themselves on this fingerboard. We almost cannot believe how much perfection is packed into this single guitar, but that's Paul Reed Smith for you. Item Details The P22 is PRS's first piezo-equipped solidbody guitar. This one, painted Blue Crab Blue with a seamless V12 finish, features a mind blowing quilted maple top 10 Top, mahogany back and a mahogany neck that sports the Pattern Regular neck shape which is a profile similar to the ones found on the highly desirable PRS's of the late 80's. The neck also features a rosewood fretboard with bird inlays, a 25" scale length and open geared Phase III locking tuners. The pair of P22TM magnetic pickups sound terrific and coupled with the PRS / LR Baggs piezo system ( the same one found on the popular Hollowbody models ) this guitar is in a sonic league of it's own. A 5 way blade switch and a mini toggle let you easily dial in your settings. There are also two outputs so you can choose to run your signal from the guitar either "mixed" or "separate" to one or two different amps or chain of effects. This special axe weighs in at 8.74, comes with a PRS hard shell case and all of its case candy and paperwork. Serial number# 193451 10.
