This was another fun build. I decided to play with the design of a traditional Iceman style guitar. The body is made from lightweight mahogany and is heavily chambered. The quilted maple headstock and rear cavity cover were cut from the same bookmatched set as the top. The F-hole and headstock shapes are variations of the distinctive lower horn. For some added fun, a fellow builder in the UK is also building a similar guitar. We thought it would be fun to see how two different people approached the same design.

Welcome to Potvin Guitars.
I am very pleased to announce the debut of two new models! The ElCamino and the Ranchero are available in standard configurations, but of course you are welcome to customize them in any way you can imagine.
These new models are in keeping with my philosophy of building affordable custom guitars. My goal for these designs was to create a 'no-frills' custom guitar using high quality hardware and the same build techniques as my higher end custom offerings; in other words, hand crafted quality at guitar store prices.
