Regal / Parlor / 1966 / Natural / Guitar
No SN: This cool little campfire serenader is a ¾ size parlor made by Harmony under the Regal imprint and distributed by Fender. It is a high quality guitar made with solid spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides. It features an adjustable truss rod, pearloid dot position markers, binding top and bottom, a pin bridge with compensated saddle, and ladder bracing. This one is in excellent original condition with only two short side scratches in the side and a little dot of glue coming out from underneath the pick guard. Inside, it appears one back brace has been reglued. There’s a dryness temperature crack under the fingerboard that is well supported inside by braces. The tuners are clean and work well and the action is quite low. The lower bout is 13” across, the overall length is 36 ½”. The scale length is 24 ¼”. The width of the nut is 1 ¾”. There isn’t a lot of saddle left, if there ever was, but the action is quite low and it plays very smoothly without buzzing. It has a boxy little sound when tuned to pitch. I have included a youtube link showing one (not this one) tuned up to terz tuning, probably with extra light strings. The sound is amazing. Beyond that, I think it’ll make someone a nice little travel guitar or a great guitar for a youngster who would appreciate the vintage vide. Thanks for reading this far.
