This Reverend Tricky Gomez brings old and new together in an original, fresh way. The clean sound is warm, well-balanced, and impressively responsive to playing dynamics. With a little distortion, this guitar turns into the perfect mids-heavy, punchy and creamy blues tone machine. The neck is a comfortable medium oval shape that will please soloists and rhythm players alike. Bending, complex chording, and fast picking are equally easy. The body resonates with an acoustic edge characteristic of high-end semi-hollow guitars. Rock, blues, country, jazz - this guitar can handle it all and everything else. If you're looking for great tone on something new, this Tricky Gomez will deliver. Item Details This Reverend Tricky Gomez, finished in Satin 3-Tone Burst, takes the warmth afforded by a semi-hollow body and dresses it up with Reverend's luxurious appointments. The body is made of korina, a medium/lightweight wood that makes for responsive, consistent tone and rich harmonics. This blends very well with the solid maple top. The neck is a medium oval shape made from 3 pieces of korina, and the fretboard is rosewood. Reverend's custom-made Revtron pickups are wound specifically for their positions on the Tricky Gomez, and the result is balanced and consistent tone. Pin-lock tuners and a graphite nut ensure tuning stability and convenience, even after bending as far as you can or dressing the tone up a bit with the Bigsby B-70. The dual-action truss rod eliminates a lot of headaches - it can be easily adjusted in both directions. These features add up to a guitar that has the soul of a vintage hollowbody but the reliability of something from a modern custom shop.
