Tonewise, this guitar is as hot as it looks. It puts out intense, searing tone perfect for any amount of gain you can throw at it. The sound retains a rich, dynamic depth even at high volumes and with tons of distortion. It's as fast as anything, but it doesn't feel like you're playing a toy. The neck is slim without being non-existent, and it will still let you bend to your heart's content. The body is radical but lightweight, so it won't break your back even after hours of playing. If you need to inflict some serious metal damage, the Reverend Volcano is the way to go. If you can handle it. Item Details The Reverend Volcano RA FM, finished in Satin Red burst, is loaded up with unique, quality features familiar to the traditional V-style guitar. Just like the original "V," the body is made of korina, a medium/lightweight wood that makes for responsive, consistent tone and rich harmonics. The neck is a fast medium oval shape, and the ebony fretboard makes for a tight, fast feel and great string response. Reverend's custom-made Railhammer Chisel pickups are truly unique: half rail, half pole. The result is fat, crunchy lows and singing highs. Pin-lock tuners and a graphite nut ensure tuning stability and convenience, even after bending as far as you can. The dual-action truss rod eliminates a lot of headaches - it can be easily adjusted in both directions. You'll have a hard time finding another speed demon of a guitar with such luxurious appointments.
