Boy do we love Rick’s from the 50’s but this one has to be the rarest one !, its got the coolest vibe from any period Rick produced, its Prototype like features are finished in this beautiful faded factory “Fireglo” Sunburst finish & is absolutely stunning, one of the earliest examples to come out of the factory, its maple construction is super grainey & figured especially its 3 piece “quilted” maple/walnut/maple neck, this example pre-dates most other 360F’s still wearing its original Kluson Deluxe tuners, its got its original Gold painted clear Lucite double pickgards & matching Gold “Rickenbacker” truss rod cover, she has 2 “Toaster” type pickups & controlled by its deco type original 4 cats eye volume & tone knobs, also equipped with its original flat type fold down tailpiece, pots date to the 20th week of 1960 yet it has a 2 digit serial #, this 360F model was so rare as only 15 were ever produced in 1960, this was most likely the very 1st “Fireglo” finished 360F example ever made & was the predecessor to all other Ricks that wore this most popular color Sunburst finish, undisputed to be one of Rick’s most historic guitars ever made, she’s Museum Quality all original condition making this so desirable, she’s excellent overall & comes with her original red lined Green’Gray hard shell case.
