Rickenbacker / 450 / 1959 / Mapleglo / Guitar

Some of the rarest guitars ever made by Rickenbacker were in their earliest days from the late 50’s, this beautiful example is 1 of only 7 made in its 1st full year of production in the infamous Mapleglo natural finish, complimented by its very rare Gold Anodized aluminum pickgard & tin metal truss rod cover w/the Rickenbacker logo, its 2 potent Toaster pickups sound great in that “slab” maple wood body & maple neck, wearing a full set of 4 black knobs giving freedom of volume & tone for the 1st time on a 450 model, it even has its original pair of plastic dowel plugs on the back side of the neck-thru body section, the Kluson Deluxe tuners still hold pitch while the 6 saddle bridge was quite antiquated still having its clip on matching metal cover in place, overall this 450 is oh-so original in all respects w/no mods or touchup ever, she’s simply excellent overall & comes it its original green/gray hard case.
