About Diamond Guitars
Wil Peters is the owner of Diamond Guitars and together with his son, daughter and friends he developed the unique concept.
Wil studied electrical engineering and majored in business administration. He explored the world of the services industry through various management and boardroom positions and played guitar since he and his friends started the hardrock band Voyager back in the eighties. 'The sound of strings reaches deep into my soul and drives me to keep on trying to get better in every way'. That's Wil: passion for music, the craftsman, the artist and the people that play their instruments. They are his endless source of energy. 'Wouldn't wanna do without'!
The philosophy behind Diamond Guitars is to represent worldclass, innovative and independent guitarbuilders and connect them with players that love and support the art and craft of handmade guitars. The idea is they will inspire and learn from each other. We work with builders that offer the world's finest instrument. They are able to build guitars to custom specifications and willing to help us with advice on maintenance and repair of the instruments. My expertise combined with knowledge and experience of the luthiers will help you to find your dream guitar is! We offer many of the finest instruments in the world in one place brought to you by players, for players.
Come, feel and play your guitar!
Diamond Guitars is authorized dealer by BREEDLOVE, ROZAWOOD, LOWDEN, MARTIN, ELIXER, SCHERTLER, OASIS and G7th. We have access to their knowledge and support. And we use it!!
What is an authorized dealer exactly? Why does it matter? And does it really benefit customers to make sure they buy from one? Short answer: Yes. It really does matter.
Real world problems
If things always worked out like we'd like them to, every item we purchased- like amps, pickups, tuners and even sometimes guitars - would work perfectly and without defects. They would function for as long as their normal useful life. There would be no glitches, crashes, or breaks. And we'd have no complaints. But this is the real world. And in reality, things don't always work as they should. Pieces break. They stop working. Or sometimes, we simply open a box and find a piece missing. When any of these things happens, it's nice to know that we can call the manufacturer and have them make it right.
Herein lies the problem in dealing with an unauthorized seller; the manufacturer has no relationship with them or control over the products they sell. They may sell items with missing serial numbers. They may be selling damaged or used items. Any, or all of these practices can void a manufacturer's warranty. Naturally, this is going to limit your chances of finding a resolution to whatever product issue you experience, especially if the unauthorized seller doesn't offer assistance either. It's a frustrating, expensive, and unfortunate scenario that happens much more often than it should.
Do your research and when applicable, make your purchases from an authorized dealer. It's best way to protect your investment. Authorized dealers are held to certain standards of practice and service. Plus, you can rest easy knowing that your item is covered by the manufacturer's full warranty, and that you'll have support after the sale is made.
Diamond Guitars offers in these cases strong support to make sure your problem gets solved!
What customers say about Diamond Guitars
Totaly satisfied costomers; that is what Diamond Guitars aims for! Read here what customers say about their experience while visiting the shop and meeting us and our instruments and service.
My experience of buying my Taylor from Diamond Guitars was simply great. When buying a high-end instrument you expect to receive a top-notch service and of course to buy it from the hands of an expert. Wil Peters offered me all of that, as I could make several questions and could test the instrument well, which is necessary to make such a purchase decision without worries. Wil is not only knowledgeable about what he sells, but also passionate about it.
While searching the internet for a Taylor guitar, I came across Dianond Guitars. The site was the most beautiful guitars to see. An appointment was quickly made. To my surprise I saw that the shop was locasted near my home. Not a U.S. thing. An appointment was quickly made.In a homely atmosphere I saw at least 25 of the most beautiful and also rare guitars from worldclass guitarmakers. Really very nice to see these instruments in one place. Also you have a pasionate man accompaniing you through the proces. You will be treated as the guitars are. I really enjoyed. Professional, reliable, fair price and top notch guitars and accesoires. Where can you find that these days? At Diamond Guitars in Susteren!
Thank Wil for the extensive and valuable information about the sales of my two Rick's.
Wil - a a friend of mine - started his guitar shop Diamond Guitars, beginning of this year. And while doing, several blueprints about how, what and when passed for review. That's where it hit me! As a guitar player always interested in fine instruments, Wil passed the 'virus' with true stories about luthiers searching for the best trees of more than 100 years old, the selection of precious tone woods, and handcrafting instruments. After several years of playing guitar I actually was looking for an unique piece, with a good fit for my left hand, great looks and above all, a splendid sound.
While looking around several times in Wil's shop and a reference from a '64 Martin D-28 in my head, many options passed, until.... 'my' Rozawood Masterworks Artcraft arrived.
Packed in a off-white case and when opened, a marvelous smell of wood tickling my nose. Very fine inlays, an attractive body in Grand Auditorium shape, 'dressed' in perfect dark brown color with a high gloss finish. Hand build by Roman Zajíček and most important: it's astonishing sound. Rich in the mids, clear sparkling highs and as a thunder in the low ends.
Playing it, felt as homecoming after a long trip, as a warm reunion with your dearest family. Together with the knowledge and guidance of Wil and comparison with other brands, there was no doubt.
While playing it for 6 month now, it's only sounding nicer every day, and when opening its case, still the smell of the Hawaii koa sides and back, leaves you in the middle of the forest where it once started..... Thanks Wil.
Rob v. Z.
Hi Wil, thanks again! just a few more tweaks, plug in and play the Birds.

We are happy to consider Trades towards the purchase of most of our instruments. Also we do acknowledge that, due to eg. investment costs and market changes, trades usually will not give you the highest return for your instruments. On the other hand trading has its advantages:
utilize the value of your current instrument immediately
purchase that special guitar that you've been searching for, before it's sold to someone else.
save on costs in time and money of advertising and selling an instrument yourself,
eliminate the frustration and potential loss associated with inconsiderate, untruthful and possibly unscrupulous 'buyers'.
We are good at valuing instruments and make every attempt to determine fair trade values.
Our focus is on developing and maintaining long term relationships with our customers, not on one single transaction. If you are considering a trade towards one of our instruments, please call us at (046) 4497124.
A '90 days layaway' option is available on all new instruments. This is the easiest way to secure that one guitar you've been dreaming of! Simply make 3 non-refundable payments equal to 1/3 of the cost of one of our new instruments (link naar new).
The honors of this idea go to a customer of one of my well respected fellow guitar salesman. This customers came up with this brilliant idea and we decided to use it for our customers.
At any time you can trade in a new of used instrument bought from us for a more expensive instrument for the same amount you bought it. There are three precondition:
You've bought him here
the instrument is located in greater or lesser degree in the same condition
you show us the original receipt
Example: John bought a Lowden 035 for € 5500 euro in December 2010. Three month later (or two years or even 15 years later for the matter) he decides that the beautiful Rozawood Diamond-28 in Brazilian Rosewood for € 8800 in our shop is his next guitar. He pays for this baby with his current O35 and adds € 3300 (8800 - 5500). It's as simple as that!
The Upgrade Policy applies only to the original owner!
Show us the original receipt of the instrument. When bought at a different store this policy is not applicable.
The instrument should be more or less the same condition as when you bought it! Light wear, very small dents or light scratches are no problem, but a broken neck, cracks and other big changes will affect the value.
The instrument which you trade it should be at least 10% more value with a minimum of € 500.
VAT, shipping and payment costs (Paypal or Credit Card Fees) are not part of the upgrade policy.
Consignment instruments are not eligible for the upgrade policy.
This upgrade policy applies only to guitars in our stock and not "Custom Order" or "Special Order" instruments. You can only upgrade one guitar a year.

Diamond Guitars Maintenance Package
Oasis Digital Hygrometer msrp 29,90
A guitar, or any other stringed musical instrument made of wood, is at risk of cracking when the relative humidity drops below 40%. The Oasis® Digital Hygrometer accurately measures relative humidity and can help you decide when to use your Oasis® Guitar Humidifier. Because relative humidity varies greatly, even inside your home, we recommend that you keep your hygrometer close to your instrument.
Oasis Guitar Humidfier msrp 19,99
The body of Oasis® is made from a specially designed fabric that allows water vapor (but not water) to pass through it. As the vapor transmission takes place, a vacuum is created and Oasis® shrinks to compensate for the loss of water. By watching the Oasis® shrink, you can determine when it is ready for refill. When refilling, you don't have to guess when it is full. Simply unscrew the black cap, fill with water to the top of the container and replace the cap. Once sealed, the water tight container is your first line of defense against leaks. Humigel™, the super absorbent polymer crystals inside Oasis™, are your second line of defense. Humigel™ captures up to 500 times its weight in water in an absorbent gel matrix.polish cloth
