The Pro Series Thumb Bolt-On bass (WPS1224) from Warwick is a monster obviously forged in the depths of the low end netherworld. There is an aliveness and resonance to the bass that is so immediately overwhelming you will have to flip it over to double check that you are indeed playing a bolt on neck guitar. The responsiveness cannot be overstated. It has an other worldly snap and pop to it. If slapping is your thing or even if you only slap every once in a while, you'll be in 7th heaven with the response this axe has. The tone is wonderful with HUGE low end vibration, a lush mid range and crisp even highs that cut through very nicely. This bass is a killer and totally pro. Item Details There are a lot of phenomenal refinements to this bass so make sure to read the specs list below. The superbly designed Black Ovangkol body has a natural gloss finish. Ovangkol is a sustainable tonewood, an African relative of rosewood that delivers a huge low end, a fuller mid range and a bright top end that's not quite as bright as maple. The maple bolt on neck features a Wenge fingerboard with 24 bronze frets. Wenge, a dense, dark-colored African rock hardwood that's not directly related to the rosewoods, has tonal properties remarkably similar to those of Brazilian rosewood and is typically known for it's durability. The scale length is 34". Two active MEC J/J pickups and active MEC 2 way electronics are delivering tons of easily dialed in versatility and superior tone. The Pro Series Thumb Bolt On delivers tons of quality features in a stunning looking and feeling package.
