A Glimpse into Fender Custom Telecaster History:

The Fender Custom Telecaster stands apart from the Telecaster Custom due to its unique set of features, effectively making them two distinct models. In 1959, Fender introduced a groundbreaking addition to their lineup – the Fender Custom Telecaster. This model featured a double-bound body, marking a notable departure from the standard Telecaster design. Additionally, this year saw the introduction of slab-board fingerboards, further enhancing the instrument’s playability and aesthetics.

It’s important to note that, apart from the body binding, there are no significant differences from a standard Telecaster. The Fender Custom Telecaster’s allure lies in its distinctive binding, which adds a touch of elegance to this iconic instrument.
