A noise gate is very useful if you only want a select amount of music to be fed through the output of an amplifier. They come in handy for lots of music genres and affect the volume signals and audio levels inside the amp signal. It measures the frequency of a vibration to test whether it can pass the gate.
What noise gates do is they only allow a certain volume of music to pass a threshold, e.g. you only want a low frequency of music to pass through or a low frequency of vibrations to a near high frequency and so on… They generated in the 1990’s and are still used in modern day music.
