Academy / Rickenbacker 330 / 1980 / Jetglo / Guitar

Ca. 1980s Academy guitar, sunburst / jetglo finish. This is a well made replica of a Rickenbacker 330 guitar, we know nothing about the brand, country of manufacture (it was purchased in Japan though) or age of this guitar, so the information given is our honest best guess and it's reflected in the price. But what we can say is that this is a very fine playing and sounding instrument - the neck pickup is actually a rewound Höfner bobbin under the original cover, which is a bit weaker than the stock bridge pickup. Together, this makes for a great rocking guitar with very jangly and dreamy neck pickup sounds, while the bridge pickup is screaming (which we find much more useful than many stock Rickenbacker configurations...). Weighs 3.3kg.
