AKAI MX73 Keyboard
The MX73 is a six-octave MIDI controller keyboard designed for flexible use with synths and expanders.
It offers dynamic control with attack velocity but lacks aftertouch functionality.
The keyboard includes four programmable zones, allowing customized range and control per zone, useful for layering and splitting sounds.
Each zone can be assigned an independent MIDI transmit channel (1-16) and program number (0-127).
Master transpose control adjusts the entire keyboard up or down 11 semitones, while individual zones can be transposed up or down three octaves.
Attack velocity for each zone is adjustable on a scale of 1-10, allowing central control over parameters like volume and filter cutoff.
The MX73 includes a master volume slider that sends MIDI volume commands to all channels for simultaneous instrument control.
Assignable controllers include four footswitches, four footpedals, four front-panel sliders, and switches, all independently assignable for each zone.
Programs can store up to 100 parameter setups, accessible via a front-panel keypad or footswitch.
The MX73 includes two MIDI Out ports and a third "External" MIDI Out for independent patch changes, with additional tape in/out jacks for program data storage.
Please note although when removed from the studio the item was functioning, it may require additional service and is sold on an as seen basis
