Atkin Alister 037 Herringbone Baked & Aged Sunburst
Instrument Description:
This new Atkin 037 is a guitar with rare special specs, such as an extra wide neck (46mm) and fingerspacing (58.5mm). This, combined with the short scale (635mm), offer a unique playing comfort. The baked Sitka spruce top, home-baked according to Alister Atkin himself, with extra beautifully figure Indian rosewood, sunburst finish, with herringbone purfling, make this guitar an extra special guitar that not only has good looks, but also sounds incredible. The finish is slightly aged, with checking that gives just the right aged to the baked feel of the guitar. Built in Canterbury, UK by Alister Atkin and his small team, this guitar is a serious alternative to American competitors such as Bourgeois, Collings and Huss & Dalton. Adopted on the 028 style guitar, which combines solid woods with a powerful, dynamic sound, and a powerful sustain with beautiful overtones. Of course perfect for fingerstyle, but also fast bluespicking, rhythm guitar and flat picking. The modified V-shape mahogany neck is close to C shape, plays incredibly smoothly. Other features include a mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and Macassar ebony bridge, belly style, with drop in bone saddle, Gotoh tuners. Although each Atkin is properly adjusted at the factory, our luthiers will fine-tune to your specifications before leaving TFOA. I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories.
