The Essential D is a dreadnought guitar built in the style of a vintage Martin D-18. It excels in delivering a bold, resonant tone, perfect for singer-songwriters, bluegrass enthusiasts, or anyone seeking a powerful, full-bodied sound. With a minimalist approach, it focuses on essential features, ensuring an instrument that emphasizes pure quality in both sound and construction.
The Atkin Essential D offers a warm, balanced, and powerful tone, characterized by rich bass, clear mids, and shimmering trebles. Its dynamic response makes it equally suitable for vigorous strumming and delicate fingerpicking. The guitar’s playability is exceptional, with a string action of 1.8 mm (high E string) and 2.3 mm (low E string) at the 12th fret. Featuring a 645 mm scale length and a 43 mm nut width, it provides optimal comfort for a variety of playing styles.
The top is made from solid Sitka spruce, prized for its excellent resonance and tonal clarity. The back and sides are crafted from premium Mahogani, offering powerful projection and a warm tonal character. The mahogany neck, paired with an ebony fretboard, ensures durability and a smooth playing experience.
This Atkin Essential D is in good condition, showing only minimal signs of use. All components are original, and the guitar comes with its original Atkin hard case, offering optimal protection. There was a pickup in this guitar which has been removed at some point.
