- Indonesian mahogany set-in neck with dual action truss rod and graphite nut
- 24 fret, 24" scale Coromandel ebony fingerboard, with zero fret and BM style position markers
- 3 x BM brand series wired, single coil "Tri-Sonic" style pickups
- Master volume and tone control with aluminium "top-hat" knobs with red dot indicator
- Original BM design switch matrix with individual pickup on/off and in/out phase switching
- Chrome thumbwheel locking tuners
- Wilkinson WVP knife edge tremolo bridge with custom contoured trem arm

Inspired by Brian May's legendary Red Special, an instrument that has achieved iconic status and its own unique place in rock history, the BMG Special is a stunning guitar, blessed with superb build quality, awesome playability and an astonishingly rich diversity of killer tones.
In fact, it delivers everything you'd expect from an instrument built to the exacting standards of one of the world's greatest musicians but, in keeping with the virtuoso's vision of a "guitar for the people", with a competitive price-tag that belies its superior appointments and performance.
Without question one of the most eagerly anticipated releases of the century, the original House Music helmed, Burns branded Brian May Signature was unleashed in the winter of 2001 to rapturous critical and public acclaim. The UK's "Guitar Bible" Guitarist Magazine hailed it as "Best Guitar Of The Year" and theatre audiences around the globe thrilled to the guitar's sound in the hit Queen musical "We Will Rock You”.
But the story certainly didn't end there. Teaming up with the maestro and his long-standing technician, Pete Malandrone, House Music established Brian May Guitars in 2004 with the launch of the all-new BMG Special. With production re-located to one of the world's most respected manufacturing facilities, this revised model featured significant improvements in design, specification and construction. Subsequent iterations have seen further upgrades and refinements to the Special's bridge assembly, pickups, electronics, hardware, finishing and colour choices. Simply put, the world's best artist designed production guitar has consistently got a whole lot better.
The BMG Special is an immensely versatile, pro-grade instrument designed not just to replicate the unique sound of one of rock 'n' roll's true heroes, but also to provide modern guitarists of all musical persuasions with the perfect go-to guitar for any performance environment.
