This Martin 00-18 1922 acoustic guitar is a very special instrument for us at Vintage Guitar World. In fact, it's one of those guitars that reignites our passion for vintage instruments time and time again. Few guitars show so clearly how an instrument that was once truly at the end of its life can be brought back - and even enhanced - through careful restoration.
The aged Adirondack ceiling features the classic golden hue that only real vintage wood can achieve. But what really captivated us wasn't just the craftsmanship - it was the sound. This born-again, vintage rock is so resonant it's almost like it has an amplifier built in. The guitar is lively, open, expressive and incredibly inspiring to play.
This instrument is a vintage player guitar, modified and repaired over its entire life, but completely stable and wonderfully playable:
