From the Yardbirds to Cream to his solo career, it’s hard to argue with the only three time inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Just surpassing 50 years of influential blues and rock, there are few musicians who hold up like Eric Clapton and in tribute of that, Martin has awarded him his own signature guitar. Since its initial release in 1996-7, the Martin 000-28EC has gained major popularity and for good reason. Its body construction begins with a Sitka Spruce top and East Indian Rosewood sides creating a long-cherished, balanced tone. Elegance is in the subtleties & the fine herringbone binding & rosette paired w/the diamond fret markers perfectly capture the style & class of this legendary guitar. Of the 2000 or so made in this very 1st series, this serial # 1610 was very special ordered in a factory Left Handed version 1 of just a few made. The inside label bears the signature of both Eric Clapton and C.F. Martin IV. It shows a bit of wear, some aging & some yellowing over time, she’s the quintessential Lefty guitar for any Clapton fan. You just can’t reorder this 25 year old Limited Edition Eric Clapton Signature Model ! She’s quite excellent overall & comes in its original black tolex/green lined hard case.
