Collings / 0003G 12 Fret Cocobolo German Spruce / Guitar

The 12-fret 0003G has the same general appearance as the Collings 00, but in a larger size with longer string scale. Although it's the same width and depth as the OM, the longer body typically produces more bass and overall volume. The "G" is an indication that the top wood is not regular Sitka spruce, but the rather lovely silked German spruce which adds another dimension in richness and projection to the overall sound. This makes the Collings 000G ideal for fingerstyle players or any guitarist who wants a maximum of power from an instrument of comfortable size with an elegant, old-time appearance. This 0003G has an absolute stunning look with its cocobolo back and sides which deliver a warm and powerful tone with an impressive sustain. The front of the guitar also features chic details like abalone bridge pin dots and rosette on the top and black and white purflings on the body and the slotted headstock. The sound is complex with a refined and focused low, a characteristic middle and a crystal clear high. A well balanced tone with excellent note separation makes you want to play this guitar for hours. The 1 13/16 inch nut width offers more space on the ebony fretboard and, combined with a 2 5/16 inch string spacing, makes the guitar well suited to fingerstyle. However, flatpickers will also find a lot of joy in playing this guitar. The guitar travels in a hardshell case with TFOA passport. I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
