CostaLab Sun Drive
The Costalab Sun Drive is a pedal inspired by the classic Big Muff. Its circuit is based on the four standard gain stages, two of which house the silicon clipping circuits giving you a very vintage sound.
The sound it produces is massive, full of harmonics and mids that easily cut through the mix. It is also able to produce very powerful low frequencies, accurate and more clearly focused at the same time. The result is an aggressive sound and rich, but stable and you can’t lose your control of it. Despite the conside- rable levels of gain you can get with the Costalab Sun Drive, the pedal remains silent due to the many excellent solutions made to the circuit and the selected components.
The tone control is achieved with the classic subtraction circuit. When the knob is at maximum, the circuit lets out all frequen- cies, but we need to adjust it with the gain level. Indeed, the amount of produced harmonics is directly proportional to the sustain, so the tone should be used with care in regard of that.
The Sun Drive is equipped with a Class A buffer always on, cha- racterized by very high input impedance. This makes it possible to save every detail of the sound, giving definition and room between the notes, moreover, it can easily reject radio interference. In addition, the Sun Drive CostaLab is equipped with a system against ground loop.
To keep the system on a proper functionality, however, it is strongly recommended to power the pedal with a specific power supply, not connected to other pedals (Boss PSA type or equiva- lent) or with a power supply equipped with galvanic isolation outputs. In every case, the CostaLab Sun Drive can perfectly work even with the shared power supply with other pedals.
The CostaLab Sun Drive is equipped with a mechanical switching system "Bufferd" with buffer always active, equipped with anti-pop filter.
The unit is powered by 9 DC volts and is connected by the classic DC 2.1 mm plug with negative pole-center. The current draw is less than 20 mA. The unit can also operate with a 9-volt battery. In this case the circuit is on by the input jack.
In order to save the battery life it is recommended to remove the input jack from the socket when you stop using it. You can still keep the battery inside the pedal even when it is powered through the DC socket, for the external power supply system is able to automatically rule out the battery.
The unit is 118x93,4x34mm not counting the knob and the jacks.

When a performance is reflected in our account we deliver the goods by the chosen freight method. Money transfer will take depending on the bank 1-3 business days.

In Nord Sound's online store you can order products to the nearest post office or mobile service pick-up point and pay for your purchase pickup, pick-up point. Only valid for Finland, Sweden and Denmark!

RETURNS: Products purchased from NordSound have a 14 day return policy from the date our customer have received the shipment. Product returns must be agreed in advance by phone, nr. +358 406 810 910 or e-mail info@nordsound.fi. Only pre-agreed returns are taken into account. Products must be returned free from damages and fully functional, and all accessory parts included. The returned product must be in its original packaging as delivered from us. The product, of course, can be tested and tried before any desicion regarding a possible return. Opening the product packaging must be carried out with caution. Software or other sealed products can not be resturned once the product packaging has been opened. We don't accept returns by cash on delivery! We will do a refund to the customer's bank account after checking the product and verifing its status. If you return a defective product, we will make a damage report and send it in for service. The returned product will then be repaired or replaced if the warranty is still valid. The purchase price refund: NordSound will pay the returned products initial purchase price to the customer's bankaccount within 30 days of the return date. We reserve the right to inspect and approve the return shipments. If the returned product is not in its original condition NordSound reserves the right to reduce the value of the product or the value of any missing equipment. NordSound will contact the customer and give feedback regarding any price reduction.
