They are proud to manufacture the Sierra as affordably as possible and still retain all of the high end features that affect the tone and playability. When Greg Deering first introduced the Sierra, he kept the cost down by keeping the cosmetics simple. The money was put into the pot assembly. He wanted to build a top professional banjo at a price that he could have afforded when he was a kid. With the maple resonator, the Sierra has a bright and focused tone quality with a little bit more sustain than the standard mahogany Sierra. With the implementation of new technology Deering has been able to make the Sierra exquisitely beautiful without raising the price. Inspired by the art work of the old masters of the Boston banjo era from the turn of the last century, the Sierra is also a visually appealing instrument. I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
