We barely see these high end Technical House Japan made ESP guitars, and this one is back, after beeing here in the mid 2000’s. These ESP instruments are manufactured by the famous ESP Technical House in Tokyo and were only made to order and exclusively for Japan. This Custom Strat has an alder body with a maple neck, ebony fingerboard and may have undergone modifications, especially in terms of electronics, with an Anderson type bridge pickup with large poles, a single coil and a Seymour Duncan humbucker in neck position. Electronic and controls delivers a mind-boggling array of possibilities
- push-pull on the tone knob: in push, it is a tone, in pull, it is a passive VA boost (as on the Anderson)
- mini toggle switch 2 positions: this is the split for humbuckers
- mini toggle switch 3 positions: controls the position of the middle pickup, in 1 it is not functional, in 2 it is added to the positions chosen on the 3 position blade switch, in 3 the single coil is alone
- 3-position switch blade, for pickup selection
The general condition is very good, with small scattered marks, no big blow or damage, the frets in perfect condition, high and like new because reprofiled and no rusty or corroded parts. In short, this guitar is a little gem of versatility and comfort, low action, high and perfect frets, in great condition, pro profillage made during its acquisition, and all the hardware are perfect and perfectly stays in tune thanks to the Floyd . The top of the range of the old Japanese Technical House workshops of ESP at a price defying the crappy ones currently produced by LTD … There you go …
