HISTORY
Yngwie Malmsteen is the world-renowned Swedish guitarist, songwriter, composer, and bandleader, celebrated for pioneering the neoclassical style of heavy metal guitar in the 1980s. Across a career spanning more than 40 years, he has released 20 studio albums and influenced generations of players with his virtuosic technique. In 2009, Time magazine ranked him 9th among the 11 greatest electric guitarists of all time.
