The Custom Shop is home to Fender’s most skilled and talented builders. It’s a bustling, noisy and creatively volcanic place that re-earns its nickname—the Dream Factory—every day. Custom Shop builders are completely dedicated to their art—part craftsman, part artist, part music fan and, more often than not, part mad scientist. They’re the best at what they do, and they pour all of their passion, hard-earned knowledge and skill into every instrument they build. It’s no ordinary place, and the creations that come from it are no ordinary instruments. Take for example this stunning '52 Telecaster masterbuilt by Art Esparza in 1996. Esparza served at Fender for over 18 years, mentored by some of the finest master builders in the industry, including Fender Custom Shop co-founder John Page, J.W. Black and Phil Kubicki. During that time he designed and built instruments for leading artists including Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, John Mayer, Ernie Isley, Sammy Hagar and Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds. The guitar features a 2-piece Ash body which holds a 3-saddle Telecaster bridge, a 1-ply black pickguard, Custom Shop handwound Single Coil pickups, modern control layout with 3-way switch, V-shaped figured maple neck with a 9.5" radius maple fretboard and 42mm (1 5/8) nutwidth. Condition is almost perfect, near mint. Includes original hardshell case, certificate of authenticity, case candy. I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
