Now available on consignment, this fantastic playing 1967 Fender Custom Telecaster in its original sunburst finish with cream binding and a rosewood fingerboard.
This particular example features all '66 specifications including a nitro finish, transition logo, and double line kluson deluxe tuners.
Work to the guitar includes:
- At one point the guitar was routed in the neck position and a humbucker was installed, this has since been removed with the original neck pickup back in place. A period late 60s pickguard is installed with the pearloid back (pictured).
- The bridge pickup has been rewound at some point, and the input jack has been replaced.
- The guitar has had a professional refret with taller frets and a new nut, the guitar plays great with a straight neck and a low action.
Otherwise the guitar retains most of its original hardware minus some pickguard screws and the bridge saddles. The original stackpole pots date to the 17th week of '66, and the original switch and capacitor remain. Both pickups are well balanced and sound great, outputs above.
Overall a fantastic playing early CBS custom telecaster perfect for the professional or player at home. Includes its original hardcase with replaced outer latches.
