Fender / Electric XII / 1966 / Sunburst / Guitar

Just in on consignment, a very cool and well played Fender Electric XII from early 1966!

The Electric XII was Leo Fender's last design patented before the sale of Fender to CBS in early 1965, and was Fender's competition to the popular Rickenbacker 12 string electrics at the time.

Work to the guitar includes:

- Replacement rotary switch, leads to the controls have been clipped and re-attached.

- The neck pickup has had a wind-back repair to the lower coil, the pickup is now healthy and fully functional.

Otherwise this guitar features all of its original parts including the frets which play surprisingly well for their age. Other specifications typical of this model is the split-single coil pickups, full adjustable 12-saddle bridge, and the hockey stick headstock.

A fantastic playing 12 string electric, includes a modern hardcase.
