Fender / Jaguar / 1964 / Fiesta Red / Guitar For Sale
1964 Fender Jaguar Fiesta Red over Coral
This beautiful guitar has been made at the Fender Factory in late 1963, and completed in early 1964. It has a unique shade of Fiesta red, achieved by a “double custom color” application, since this body has been factory finished in “Coral”, and fully finished with clear coat, before applying the final Fiesta Red over it.
As a result, the worn-in areas of the guitar, show the Fiesta red, a “orange” color which is the yellowed clear on top of the Coral color, and the Coral itself, which is a richer shade of Pink.
This is a Export guitar, sent to Italy back in the day, we believe ordered by mistake, since in Italy “Fiesta Red” is commonly called “Coral Red” or simply “Coral”, and we’ve seen a few others guitars from the same timeframe finished the exact same way, and all sent by Fender out of U.S.
This is an incredible guitar, and on top of being 100% original (save for a professional refret) this is an incredible sounding instrument.
