1965 Fender Jaguar in Custom Color Fiesta Red with Matching Headstock

Copenhagen Fine Guitars is pleased to offer this 1965 Fender Jaguar in Fiesta Red, complete with the matching painted headstock that defines one of the most striking custom color offsets of the period.

When this Jaguar left Fullerton, the model sat at the top of Fender's line, and a custom color order meant paying a premium over the standard sunburst. Far fewer left the factory this way, and a Fiesta Red example with a matching headstock is among the most desirable of the breed.

This guitar retains the classic earlier 1965 appointments: unbound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, transition logo, the off-white guard Fender often paired with its bolder custom colors, now aged to a soft mint green, L-series neck plate, and the full Jaguar control layout with dual rhythm and lead circuits.

The neck heel carries its original Fender date stamp, 1 FEB 65 A, and the A denotes Fender's narrow 1 1/2 inch nut width, a fast, easy-playing profile with a dedicated following. A Staytrem bridge is currently fitted, a popular upgrade for offset tuning stability, and the original bridge and string mute are included in the case.

Condition is honest and attractive. The Fiesta Red finish has aged beautifully, with lacquer checking on the headstock face and areas of wear through to the underlying coats and exposed wood on the body's rear and edges, the kind of character only six decades of real playing can produce.

For full transparency, there is a small area of wood damage in the body beside the neck pickup. It is not a pickup routing; it may be an abandoned modification someone thought better of, or a flaw in the wood from the factory. It is completely concealed under the pickguard when the guitar is assembled, has no effect on playability or tone, and is shown clearly in the photos.

Custom color Jaguars from this period do not surface often, and matching headstock examples rarer still.

The guitar comes in its original black Fender case.

Price: 62.000 DKK. Shipping not included.
