Fender / Jazz Bass / 1978 / Black Finish / Bass

This is a very hip late 70’s Jazz Bass we’ve have that was completed new very early 1980 (but it’s all pure 1978). This was a regular occurrence whilst Fender had an abundance of necks made in the late 70’s that wound up on basses completed as late as 1982. Its got a rather great sounding Alder body w/a nice original Black finish some definite play time. Its highly unusual white bound/block Rosewood neck w/no date of any type. Its got a groovy original Black pickgard that has aged like a piece of nitrocellulose naturally shrinking & has an arch to its flatness still loaded w/its 2 original pickup & pots dated to the 9th week of 1980. These have a very unique tone quality. It’s truly excellent overall & comes in a generic molded square case.
