An original Candy Apple Red Jazzmaster from this era is a particularly striking combination, bringing together one of Fender’s most distinctive custom colours with the classic offset design of the early Jazzmaster.
The original finish displays the honest signs of age expected from a guitar of this period, including playwear and weather checking, while the instrument remains in excellent overall vintage condition.
A small number of screws have been replaced over the years. The guitar otherwise presents as a remarkably attractive early-1960s Jazzmaster, with the combination of originality, custom-colour appeal, and pre-CBS Fender character that makes these instruments increasingly difficult to find.
