Fender / PRECISION BASS / 1967 / Blond / Bass

A super, super rare P-Bass. One of 25 slab-bodied Precisions built for the UK market! Two of them were purchased (and smashed) by John Entwistle of The Who. This one belongs to the small batch of 7 instruments sold in the US by Manny's: a very well documented bass, which belonged for 40 years to Eric Weissman, who used it for gigs and recordings with artists like Doc Watson and Art Garfunkel... it has been pictured on a dedicated article in Vintage Guitar Magazine (Jan 2009) and in the book 'Fender Bass for Britain' by B. Matthews. Read lots more about it here http://www.realvintage.it/archivio/slab_pbass67eng.html, 60 pics online!
