Fender / Precision Bass / 1964 / Candy Apple Red / Bass

This cool bass is just in from its original owner, purchased new by a Mr. Gene Hickman from Arkadelphia, Arkansas,  it’s a late production pre-CBS Precision Bass still wearing its original Candy Apple Red finish, it’s still very Red w/a slight fade & showing plenty of play time, it has a fantastic feeling Rosewood neck in slightly cleaner condition, this is a very early transitional P Bass having the 1st of the pearl dot inlaid necks & the 1st of the white pickgards, its neck stamp is dated December 1964 & she wears an L-series back plate to match, pot codes date her to the 50th week of 1964, its neck pocket is perfect w/its paint stick marking, its pots are untouched & its pre-CBS logo is clean, she’s 100% original overall, lightweight & truly a rare & pure ’64 Pre-CBS Bass, she comes with her original beat up Black tolex hard case.
