This is an incredible 1 owner all original early CBS made Precision Bass w/all Pre-CBS features that is the cleanest we have ever encountered, purchased new on April 23rd, 1967 by Frank Baiano for his 12th Birthday, he got his dream bass w/his Dad making him pay $50. towards its $259. price tag, its original Sunburst finish is unfaded over its lovely Alder body, its Rosewood neck has some nice girth to it & has a stamped neck date of October 1966, its original Tortoise-shell Nitro pickgard pulls this all together making it one of Fender’s best P Basses from its early CBS production, its split pickup is super smooth w/that quintessential big sound !, its pot codes date to 1966, its so cool & original from its tuners to its threaded saddle bridge, its all original in all respects, still retains its bridge & pickup covers w/every single screw from new, this P Bass is from the final leftovers from Leo’s earliest Pre-CBS days & has a gorgeous patina for a 55 year old original, it plays & feels incredible, other than having 1 ding on its face, she’s mint in all respects w/no 1 spec of finish missing anywhere on this baby, she’s 9 lbs. 5 oz. & she has killer sustain & tone qualities, comes complete w/Frank’s original ’66 Fender catalogue w/his Dad’s original written prices in it, a minty strap & cord all in her original Black Tolex Hard Case.
