1959 Fender Princeton "Big Cab" Tweed Amp
1959 Fender Princeton tube-amplifier in rare "big cabinet". Almost identical to the Fender Tweed Champ, except for an aditional tone-control and a bigger speaker. The amp is in very good condition for its age and mostly original, a few caps and resistors have been changed for service reasons, the speaker has been replaced with a identical Jensen Reissue speaker which sounds great and is reliable, even when cranked loud, as on most of these amps - the leather handle has been replaced. The output-transformer has been replaced, the power-transformer still is original, and adidional 110/220Volt stepdown transfer has been mounted to the chassis inside, to operate this amp on 220Volts in Europe. The original tweed covering has some minor wear and has faded into a nice "tobacco"-color, which gives that amp a great mojo!
