Their prices are steadily growing worldwide, and while the economic crisis has put many '50s and '60s vintage classics out of reach for the average guitar collector, these instruments provide a more affordable way to high-quality guitar collecting.'This Stratocaster, built in 1983 (its neck is dated September 27th) is in excellent and all-original conditions. The three pots have all a 1982 date. Like all the first generation vintage reissues, with the only exception of a few '82s with a stamped date in the spring cavity, this guitar has no body date. The three-piece alder body is finished in the classic 2-tone sunburst the neck/fretboard is one-piece maple. The guitar is complete with all its accessories: bridge cover, tremolo arm, spring-cavity cover and original instruction manual. It comes with the original tweed-covered, red plush-lined hardshell case with the duck-foot-shaped tab on the inside pocket.As we already wrote about the '82 62- Reissue, these guitars are really smart moves for the hardcore Fender fans: well-built instruments, reasonably priced, which are seen by today's musicians and collectors alike as a true comeback to the quest for quality that Fender had quit since the mid Seventies.
