Fender / Stratocaster / 1962 / Dakota Red / Guitar For Sale
1962 Fender Stratocaster in Dakota Red and absolutly "Mint-like Condition"
The story that goes with this.... is almost as amazing as the guitar itself.
This Stratocaster has no refinish what so ever... 100% original Body with the most well-kept neck and frets we ever seen on a vintage guitar. The beautiful Dakota Red finish, Turning screws, bridge and nut are original too but the pickup trio and pickguard with electronics has been changed to a set of 1964 black bottom pickups. The 3 way switch was changed to a 5-way but the plastics are all originals.
The pickup output:
Brigde 5,85
Middel 5,80
Neck 5,79
The sound is warm, brigde and crispy with lots of sustain. The whole body vibartes of tone and it's "pure joy" for all vintage lovers. There has been carved under the pickguard for a switch of a kind.
The neck is straight and has a wonderful slim C-shape neck, fast and easy to play. It dates back to DEC 62B. The condition of the back of the neck, the rosewood fingerboard and frets are almost unreel. Clearly this guitar haven't been playd that much over the years.
All in all this is a rare find among vintage stratocasters... A guitar that plays and sounds that well without any "aged issues" of any kind.
The story as we know it...
This is a "one owner" guitar band was purchased just before Cristmas in 1964 i a music store. The owner was in a local well-known Rock'n Roll band that only existed a few years and after the breackup, he kind of losts interrest in playing the guitar and the Dakota Red Stratocaster was toked away... until now...
That explains why the condition is a 9 out of 10 ect.
Comes wit non original hardcase
