This is one of the very very early American Standard Strats that came from the newly reformed Fender company in the 80s. It’s clear that they were keen to make a real impression with these early USA Standards and this example is really good.
It has a few little knocks and dinks but remains in excellent overall condition. The playabilty is really top end, it feels like a much more expensive guitar the minute you pick it up and start playing it. The original back plate has been lost, as has the trem arm.
A compatible replacement arm will be provided. The frets have plenty of life left in them, it’s clear that this guitar hasn’t had a great deal of use over the years. A stunning guitar from an important time in Fenders history. Today a new USA standard equivelent will cost well in excess of £1200 depending on the dealer. These very early Corona models are starting to gain mild collectibilty status now, but in it’s own right it’s a fantastic instrument!

Coffee House guitars is a new (for 2019) boutique guitar shop selling only used, high end American and Japanese guitars from the well known brands. The shop is owned and run by Julian Deverell who has been playing, buying, collecting and selling guitars for 25 years. The shop is based in the warehouse of The Regency Chess Company, a niche chess set business that Julian also owns.
The aim is to make available a good selection of lovely guitars that have been expertly set up and are at their optimum, frets dressed, polished and ready to rock! The shop is in a custom built coffee shop (hence the name) that serves only the worlds best speciality coffee. We may not be the worlds best guitar shop, but we certainly serve the best coffee you’ll find in any guitar shop in the world!
