- Finish: "Old Candy Apple Red" (OCR), Gloss finish
- Neck: Maple, bolt-on construction, "Oval Type" or slim "C" shape profile
- Fingerboard: Rosewood (slab board style for the '62 reissue) with dot inlays
- Scale Length: 25.5" (64.77 cm)
- Frets: 21, Vintage Style frets
- Hardware: Chrome-plated hardware
- Tuners: Vintage-style tuners
- Bridge: 6-Saddle Vintage-Style Synchronized Tremolo
- Pickups: DiMarzio Collection custom-made single-coil pickups (DSC-1 model, black bobbins, cloth wire leads)
- Controls: Master Volume, Tone 1 (Neck Pickup), Tone 2 (Middle Pickup), with Fender USA-made pots and a 5-position blade switch
- Pickguard: 3-Ply pickguard (Parchment)

Comments:
This ST62-DMC is a unique, high-end "off-catalog" limited-run model produced by Fender Japan, primarily for the Japanese domestic market. The "DMC" stands for DiMarzio Collection, a collaboration in which Fender Japan fitted these guitars with specific DiMarzio-designed vintage-spec single-coil pickups. The combination of 60s aesthetics with custom-made DiMarzio DSC-1 black bobbin pickups was a significant selling point, intended to offer a "full range impact" tone that combined vintage sparkle with a powerful mid-range. These pickups were wound to vintage spec with staggered Alnico poles and cloth-covered leads, a feature made exclusively for Fender Japan. Guitars from this era (manufactured at the Fujigen or Dyna Gakki factories) are widely respected for their exceptional build quality, consistency, and attention to vintage detail.
