Here’s a clean and completely original 1977 Fender Telecaster Custom finished in factory black with a maple neck and fretboard. This model famously became associated with Keith Richards during the Stones’ golden era—and with good reason. The combination of a Wide Range humbucker in the neck and traditional Tele bridge pickup gives it a broad tonal range, from warm, almost Gibson-like neck tones to biting Tele twang at the bridge.

The neck pickup is the original Seth Lover-designed CuNiFe Wide Range humbucker, which delivers that thick but articulate tone that made these models so popular. The bridge single coil has all the snap and clarity you’d expect, and the 3-way switch gives you plenty of versatility in blending the two. The original electronics, pots, and wiring are all intact and untouched.

The maple neck has a comfy late ‘70s medium C profile with the original frets with virtually no wear, which is unusual for this era. The neck plays great all the way up and down, with no dead spots or buzzing.

Cosmetically, the guitar is in excellent vintage condition with only light signs of use. There’s some light surface scratching and minor indentations from buckle wear on the back, but nothing through the finish or unsightly. The top and front face are particularly clean, and the black finish has aged beautifully with just the right amount of natural sheen.

It comes housed in a modern hard shell case for protection.
