This is one of the coolest Tele models ever produced. The 1st “Thinline” models started to be produced in 1968 w/single coil pickups. This example from 1972 is a 2nd type Thinline Tele w/a Hollow Body sporting a set of Fenders outrageous Humbucking pickups that have tons of tone & sustain like a hollow body Les Paul. Its got an ultra grainy Ash body w/a really beautiful Custom Color see-thru Blonde finish w/some weather-checking & slight play time during its last 50 years. Its Maple neck is dated to August 1972. Its got a large logo, 2 string trees & “F” tuners from new & she’s really fabulous looking. Its got a nice original White Pearloid pickgard w/3 chips missing cut for its 2 original pickups. Still sporting its Strat type hardtail bridge, this bad boy is a 100% original & an untouched piece of artwork. She’s really lightweight & has everything you’d want tone wise. If you’d ever wanted a real fabulous 2nd series Tele Thinline, this may be your ticket. It’s very exceptionally clean overall & comes w/its original hard case.
