These early SC 2 guitars are some of the best guitars Leo Fender ever designed. This model and its companions were offered with this look and specifications only in 1982 and 1983 and are very low production. The body shape is much like a Fender Mustang, but the body is maple. The scale length is 25 1/2 inches. The neck and body are both maple on this original issue SC 2. The pickups are wild sounding with ceramic magnets that create a very wide tonal spectrum. I sort of wore out my blue one of these, playing it for eight straight years, three nights a week. This guitar has some modifications and decorations but still does what is needed.
