Galama / Anno SCLP Custom / 1982 / Guitar

This is not just any old LP-style guitar, it was built by Anno Galama. In the 80s and early 90s of the previous century, before illness forced him to stop, Anno Galama was the highest regarded luthier in the Netherlands. Even to this day there is a considerable demand for his instruments. The instruments he built were (and still are) innovative and progressive. They stand out because of their special construction; Galama used a classic neck-through-body construction with side wings for the body and added to that not only a top, but also a back overlay resulting in that beloved typical Galama tone. Galama never made very many instruments, he took his time crafting each and everyone of his guitars into nothing short of an artwork. Jan Akkerman, Lex Bolderdijk and many others played Galama guitars.  This LP-Style Singlecut guitar with it's piano-black finish was crafted in 1982. It's in surprisingly great, Very Good condition with very little playwear, some fading on the gold hardware and several dings and marks in the body finish. Even the original frets look great! Other features include a Schaller 455 Adjustable Wrap Around brige, Schaller locking tuners, a lovely bright rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers and ivoroid bindings surrounding the top, fingerboard and headstock. The only thing in the way of branding is the typical pearl Galama-bird inlay on the trussrod cover. The original pickups have been replaced with Fralin humbuckers. Includes non-original newer TKL case.  Model: LP Single Cut Finish: Black Body Material: Mahogany Top Material: Maple Lefty No Body Details: Ivoroid body bindings Neck Material: Mahogany Neck Profile: C-shape Fingerboard Material: Rosewood Fingerboard Radius: 12” Neck Details: Ivoroid fingerboard and Headstock bindings, pearl dot inlays Nutwidth: 42 mm - 1 5/8" Scale Length: 628 mm - 24 3/4" Bridge: Schaller 455 Adjustable Wrap Around brige Tailpiece: None Pickups: Fralin Humbuckers (Replacements) Tuners: Schaller Locking Gold Controls: Master Volume, Master Tone, 3-way Switch. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
