To find a mastermade George Lowden classical guitar a rare occurence, we have only had a handful go through our shop. Some backstory: In 1974 George Lowden began making guitars professionally, and over the years he became an established name, most well known for his great sounding high quality steelstrings. A little known fact however is that George Lowden also builds a small number of nylon-stringed classical guitars each year for some of his personal clients. These instruments are Called "George Lowden luthier" guitars, and this is one of them. The fact that not many people are aware George also builds these classical guitars might be because he decided, in 1996, to stop advertising for them since his waiting list had grown beyond any reasonable length. This guitar was made in 1991 and features amongst others stunning mastergrade Rosewood back and sides, a beautiful evenly grained Cedar top, Honduras mahogany neck, Ebony fingerboard and matching rosewood bridge and headstock overlay. 650mm (25 9/16") scale length, 52mm (2 1/16") Nut width, beautifully marquetry rosette, Rodgers tuners, and detailing typical for George Lowden with many intricate wooden details The sound of this magnificent George Lowden Luthier Concert Classical guitar is distinct and deep, with a firm bass response, and rich, powerful character. The clarity, focused single notes and great projection are characteristics often associated with these instruments and leave a lasting impression. The condition of this fine instrument is excellent with playwear and signs of use primarily in the delicate top finish. This guitar is protected by it's original hardshell case.

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
