Gibson / CF-100 E / 1958 / Sunburst / Guitar

When introduced in 1951, the CF-100E was the first acoustic-electric guitar ever built. It was featuring a beautiful florentine cutaway.

This guitar remains quite important in the guitar history as one of the first electric guitar Gibson ever made.

This model in particular is in good shape. it sounds pretty similar to a LG-2.

The spruce top is crack free.

Back, sides and neck are made of mahogany.

The brazilian rosewood fingerboard with original frets shows only light wear.

It had a repaired jack crack. First with a metal plate that was then removed. This area was refinished, as well as the area around pickup and soundhole, probably due to play wear.

The pickup, which is a P90 with adjustable poles, and the electonics are original and work flawlessly.

the OHSC is a Lifton in good shape.
